Windshield damage and replacement is covered when you have comprehensive insurance with a glass policy, and when there is someone else at fault through damage liability insurance.
Most auto glass damage is to the windshield, and windshield replacement is estimated to take 2 hours (120 min.). You are not required to be with the vehicle during the repair and the repair can be done at your home or office. If additional damage is done to window motors or other glass and mirrors in the car, additional time may be needed.
Common examples of damage covered by auto glass insurance policies would be:
– auto collision or car accidents and “fender-benders”
– a tree falling on your vehicle
– a ball or rock crashing into your car window
– rocks or small pebbles or debris hitting your windshield while driving
– vandalism or damage due to theft
– animals hitting your auto glass
Make sure to check what your insurance policy covers and that all glass is insured, not just the car’s windshield.
Matrix Auto Glass is known for fast response times – and guaranteed workmanship. To make things easier for you, we pay for online scheduling – which saves you time and money. This makes it easier to schedule, confirm your appointment, and gives you time to work with insurance.
For scheduling purposes, we recommend getting an appointment as soon as possible. While you go through the insurance claims process, you will have the comfort of knowing you are booked and ready for your car glass repair or replacement. Keep in mind, some insurance companies will want your appointment AND the name of your repair shop (“Matrix Auto Glass”) DURING the claims process.
Most car windshield jobs range between $100-400 for standard cars. For higher end vehicles, they can cost as much as $1,000 or more. For additional window repair, or just fixing cracks or chipped glass, prices may vary. Depending on your insurance policy, your glass may be covered for repair or replacement. Give us a call and chat with one of our technicians to learn more. Contact us
Similar to other insurance claims, you can either call an agent or submit a claim online. Most insurance companies will want you to submit your auto glass claim to get the repair or replacement done right away. Make sure to call the police if there was any vandalism and get a copy of the formal police report. After filing your claim, your insurance company may require you to have your car inspected.
Don’t forget, our team at Matrix Auto Glass is happy to help you through every step of the way! Simply give us a call at (520)745-5253
Some insurance companies have “preferred shops”, while most companies will allow you to work with local auto glass shops to get your repair done. It is very rare that an insurance company not approve Matrix Auto Glass for repair or replacement of your windshield or windows. Be sure to save all of your receipts so your insurance company knows how much to reimburse you for.
If Matrix Auto Glass has replaced your windshield, we will repair the 1st chip in the glass! For more information, give us a call.

Yes! Semi truck tinting has specific visibility requirements in the range of 70%. Ask our window tinting team for details.
Tinting reduces the penetration of UV-radiation, keeps interiors shaded, and thereby reduces the temperatures of the car interiors. Automotive interior surfaces are more protected from sun damage when the vehicle is tinted too – including a cooler seat and steering wheel! Yes, since all the tinted film is installed on the inside of the windows, the outside of the car being washed (or rained on, for that matter) will not create any problems. Just make sure the inside remains uncleaned for about a week. If you see anything strange in your window tinting, don’t forget you can always call us and chat with our window tint technicians! Most vehicle manufacturers on the market today use 15% as their factory window tint (or film). Sometimes the brand of film may play a part in the color matching. We’ll offer suggestions for every specific vehicle.
